Since its establishment in 2012, the Dingle distillery has made a name for itself in the Irish whiskey revival with its outstanding small-batch whiskey. This exquisite single malt from their third-batch collection is a continuation of the distillery’s fine whiskey craftsmanship, with the marriage of Port and Bourbon casks in the maturation process delivering a distinct and delightful flavour.
Expect sweet aromas of vanilla, strawberry and golden syrup, with a pleasantly herbal note of green tea. On the palate, Dingle Small Batch No. 3 offers a surprisingly rich mouthfeel for such a young whiskey, with a herbal tartness that contrasts with the sweeter overtones on the nose. Overall, this single malt is an outstanding testament to how even a short ageing process can produce a wonderfully complex whiskey.
