This Midleton 26 Year Old is a hugely rare bottle of Old Midleton’s finest. Laid down in 1973 and released in 2000 to celebrate 175 years of distilling at the distillery it is one of the most sought after Irish whiskeys in the world by collectors and connoisseurs. It is one of only 1000 bottles, with each signed by the then Master Distiller, Max Crockett.
Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks before being finished in a port pipe it’s aroma has a great depth with spicy and nutty notes and hints of honey and port wine. The robust and long-lasting flavours of pot still spiciness have been harmonized through its years in cask with a deeper sweetness of honeyed wine.
A must have for any true lover of the greatest Irish whiskey has to offer.
