Founded in 2003 by Denis McCarthy, Ger McCarthy, and John O’Connell, West Cork Distillers has overcome early economic uncertainties to emerge as the largest wholly Irish-owned distillery, nestled in Skibbereen. Their “Maritime Release” special edition is an ode to the founders’ background in fisheries, featuring four single malt Irish whiskeys encased in hand-blown glass bottles that mimic the floating balls once used for fishing nets.
