The second installment in the Dream Cask series sees a vatting of four different casks, all containing the luscious single pot still whiskey Midleton is famous for.
Cask #1: Distilled in 1998, aged in ex-bourbon before being re-racked into a Pedro Ximénez in 2012.
Cask #2: Distilled in 1995, aged in ex-bourbon, re-racked into Oloroso sherry in 2012.
Cask #3: Distilled in 1985, the oldest in the vatting, matured entirely in ex-bourbon.
Cask #4: Distilled in 1997, matured entirely in ex-bourbon.
All four casks were then subsequently married together in a single Pedro Ximénez cask before bottling.
Bottled at cask strength of 52.2%, yielding 924, the release reportedly sold out in under a minute.
