Dingle Distillery is proud to announce Dingle Samhain Single Malt, the first release in in their Wheel of the Year series. Distilled, matured, and bottled at Dingle, this release launched on October 31st, 2022. It’s on the eve of this day that Samhain, a traditional Celtic festival is celebrated, marking the end of the harvest season and the onset of winter. Historically, it’s believed the veil between the living world and the afterlife thins during this time, leading to customs like lighting bonfires and wearing costumes to ward off spirits. Many modern Halloween traditions, including dressing up, are derived from Samhain practices.
Matured in first fill bourbon casks before a long finish of 2 years in first fill Muscatel casks, non chill filtered, bottled at 50.5% ABV.
