Teeling Explorer’s Series 12 Year Old Cognac Cask

Teeling has emerged as a key player in the Irish Whiskey revival, with a notable boost in mid-2017 when Bacardi acquired a minority stake. This partnership afforded Teeling expansive domestic and international distribution avenues, including a significant presence in global travel retail. It’s in this global travel retail space that the Explorers Series was made available.

Crafted by Teeling’s master distiller, Alex Chasko, the first edition in the Explorers Series comprises a meticulously chosen blend of 12-year-old malt and grain whiskeys, which were then matured further in ex-Cognac casks for an unspecified period. The resulting whiskey, bottled at a robust 46% ABV without chill filtration, encapsulates the spirit of Irish exploration. Julie Witherden, Bacardi Global Travel Retail’s Marketing Director, remarked, “The Teeling Whiskey Explorers Edition celebrates the adventurous spirit of Irish explorers, making it an ideal memento or gift from one’s travels.”
