Part of the Single Farm Origin series that sets out to prove the existence of Terroir in whiskey. Each bottling is distilled from barley from a single farm. An Baile Rua, the red farmstead, is where Simon Neville has farmed for some forty years. Five miles north of Wexford town – a stone’s throw from the Blackwater – his land sits on the Seafield Series derived from sand & mudstones – its sandy, course texture makes for a challenging terroir in drier years and fruitier, more floral spirit. Like all expressions in the series, this comes in at 50% ABV and has been maturation in four different casks including French Limousin and Virgin American oak.
