The Dublin Liberties Murder Lane

$ 220

Named after the infamous steep climb from the Camac river to James’s Street. Situated in Dublin’s Kilmainham area, this was once a location of several gruesome killings. 400 years later, “The Forty Steps” are now officially named Cromwell’s Quarters thankfully are a lot safer today! Part of the inaugural series released by DLD to celebrate their sense of place and provenance. This 13-year-old single malt is brimming with sweet aromas of almonds, marzipan & vanilla imparted by thirteen years in American oak. The whiskey is then finished in the impressive Hungarian Tokaji sweet wine casks, imbuing rich flavours of ripe apricot flesh, white peach & a hint of coconut. The finish adds a gentle spice to the experience. This wonderful whiskey is best enjoyed straight up, with just a drop of water to lift its spirits.
