Part of the Single Cask Collection comes this U.S. exclusive from Teeling. Distilled in 2005, aged in ex-bourbon casks before a lengthy finish of 24 months in Chestnut cask that previously held matured brand. Chestnut is part of the beech family, not oak, showcasing the versatility of the Irish Whiskey category comparative to others. The finish imparts a fragrant bouquet of stone fruit, tea and pepper, with hints of honey sweetness and a lingering nuttiness. Just 846 bottles were released with distribution in New York, California an Illinois. Non-chill filtered, bottles at a generous 51.1%.
