The Pogues Irish Whiskey is a unique blend of 10-Year-Old single malt aged in ex-oloroso sherry casks, 7-Year-Old single malt aged inĀ ex-bourbon and 4-Year-Old Grain whiskey aged in ex-bourbon casks. The liquid has an aroma ofĀ cereal and cracked nuts, with a sweet taste and a smooth, intense flavour.
Notably, West Cork is Irelandās only whiskey producer to malt its own barley, enabling exceptional precision and control over flavour profiles. It is distilled using ingredients indigenous to Ireland, including locally grown grain and spring water from the idyllic River Ilen. Itās carefully crafted in small batches in handmade copper stills at West Corkās distillery in Skibbereen, the cultural home of Irish whiskey.
