Lough Ree The Bridge “Tús Maith” Single Cask

The Bridge Series marks the beginning of the Lough Ree distillery project. While they wait for their own distilled spirit to mature, they have sourced select casks from distilleries across the island. This single grain was first matured in first fill bourbon casks for 8 years before a very unique finish for a further 19 months in an Anima Negra red wine cask from Mallorca. The bottling is limited to 465 bottles. Expect some candied fruits, freshly made custard and toffee on the nose, continue to dark chocolate, more toffee on the palate and a dried fruit finish.

An old Jameson bottling from the last remaining years of production from the now closed Bow St. Distillery. Established in 1780, the area of the distillery grew to about 5 acres in size and was commonly referred to as the city within a city.
