It goes without saying that St. Patrick’s Day is a pretty big deal in Ireland, and in fact in many other parts of the world, so it’s only fitting that one of Ireland’s most revered distilleries should produce a celebratory expression of a classic Irish whiskey to suit the occasion.
One of a series of annual, limited edition bottlings, the 2016 Jameson St. Patrick’s Day whiskey is adorned with a stunning label created by Dublin street artist, James Earley. Inspired by the bridges crossing the River Liffey, the backbone of Dublin, Earley’s design reflects how these physical structures represent the soul of modern Dublin by linking together spaces, people and ideas. Taking key aspects from great Irish bridges including the Grattan, Sean O’Casey and Samuel Beckett, Earley demonstrates his passion for the Irish capital through intricate details such as the Atlantis and Anna Livia visual icons. Alongside the visual interpretations, Earley uses the slogan “Dublin, our city”, reinforcing the welcoming atmosphere of the city.
