Jameson Remixed Caribbean Beats is a groundbreaking 21-year-old Jameson style whiskey aged entirely in rum seasoned casks. As the newest member of The Jameson Anthology Series, it marks a significant departure from traditional whiskey-making, exploring brand new flavors for an altogether different experience of the classic Irish icon. This innovative creation follows the Jameson Remastered 15 Year Old Single Pot Still, launched last year as a homage to it’s classic discontinued recipes.
This exceptional whiskey offers a symphony of exotic flavors, a result of its unique aging process in rum-seasoned casks. Initially aged for 18 years in traditional rum barrels sourced from Barbados, the whiskey then underwent an additional 3 years of maturation. Midelton worked in collaboration with the Maestros Del Ron Cubano from Havana Club Rum. The maestros sent Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros rum to the Distillery, where it was used to perfectly season some of their very best casks. The whiskey was then transferred into these freshly seasoned casks and aged for a further 3 years. Non-chill filtered, bottled at 46%.

Tasting Notes:
Nose:
A delightful medley of warming spices, figs, toasted almonds, muscovado sugar, and coconut shavings. The signature pot still spices are elevated by the rum seasoned oak, introducing layers of ginger and candied fruits. This complements the grain whiskey’s floral character, which gently lingers, allowing the rum’s vanilla, tobacco leaf, and cacao nibs notes to shine.
Palate:
Begins with a luscious sweetness, showcasing notes of chocolate-dipped honeycomb, orange zest, and mango. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of white pepper add a gentle intensity, harmoniously blending with the herbal and earthy notes for added complexity. The whiskey’s aging in rum-seasoned casks brings an elegance and zest, while amplifying the pot still-driven fruits and sweetness.
Finish:
A long and satisfying finish, where the fruits and sweet spices linger before gracefully giving way to the underlying oak and rum seasoning. This final note caps off the experience, leaving a memorable impression that beckons for another sip.
