Glendalough Single Grain: Calvados XO Finish

Another light Single Grain to come from from Ireland’s oldest craft distillery. Aged in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, this packed a healthy punch of vanilla, coconut and wood spice. After it’s initial maturation the liquid was then transferred to French Oak barrels that previously held Calvados XO cider brandy. The classic bourbon profile pairs nicely with the burst of apply and hay imparted by the calvados cask, creating a somewhat dessert-like dram.
