Dungourney 1964 Single Pot Still (Old Midleton Distillery)

$ 2,999

Legend has it, Master Distiller Barry Crockett came across a single cask lying at the back of warehouse 11 at Midleton Distillery, left forgotten has it had never been recorded on the books. The ex-bourbon cask lay there for 30 years, untouched, making it one of the oldest cask on site (if not the oldest). Having only been discovered in 1994, this would indicate that the whiskey inside was in fact distilled at the Old Midleton Distillery, interestingly by Barry Crockett’s own father Max Crockett, prior to it’s closing in 1975. This coveted single pot still is one of the last remaining examples of the legendary distillery still available today, albeit in very short supply. Named after the river that supplies the Midleton with it’s fresh water source and the year of distillation.
