The Bushmills 30 Year Old Single Malt is aged initially in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry barrels for 14 years, before being laid in first-fill Pedro Ximenez casks for an extra 16 years. This indulgent aging process results in a beautifully structured treat that ticks all the boxes for a luxurious old Irish malt whiskey.
The nose offers deep aromas of dark stone fruits, treacle toffee, and sweet spices, which are joined on the palate by inviting notes of praline, orange peel, and vanilla pastries. The velvety and smooth mouthfeel delivers hints of dates and figs, progressing into warm vanilla and pastry notes.
